Resources

Go Noodle

Go Noodle was one of my favourite resources that we utilized every day. It is a website with lots of fun video for the children to get up, moving and singing along. They are great body breaks and often educational. My cooperating teacher used Go Noodle many times throughout the day. The children absolutely loved it!

Raz Kids

Raz Kids is another resource that I got introduced to in my pre-internship. My cooperating teacher used this as a centre in her ELA lesson. It is an interactive website online that the kids absolutely love! It has an enormous library of books of all reading levels. All of the children seem to enjoy it and be successful in the program.

Mathletics

Similar to Raz Kids our cooperating teacher also used Mathletics as a centre for Math. This is an interactive way for the students to practice their math skills. It is often fun, game like situations that the children do to solve problems off of the tablet or computer. The students results are tracked so the parents, students, and teacher are able to see the progress that each student is making. They love Mathletics!

SeeSaw

Seesaw is another app that I was recently introduced to this placement. I think this is one of my favourite resources. SeeSaw is a way to connect with the parents and guardians of the students and show them the students work. I recently found out that you can set up interactive activities over SeeSaw and send it home for homework. I thought this feature was super interesting and helpful. The students are often so excited to be able to record their own videos to show their parents or to have their videos or pictures taken.
